When you think about video games, the concept behind Aqua Forest may not be the first thing that comes to mind. There are no bad guys to destroy, no adventure mode to explore. Instead, what Aqua Forest for the iPhone offers is a sort of serene escape from the hectic hustle and bustle of everyday life.
To be available through the Apple AppStore, which launches this week, Aqua Forest takes full advantage of the touchscreen display and tilt sensor in the iPhone. Choosing the water tool, you can swipe across the screen to provide a splash of the wet stuff. You can then tilt the phone to move the water around. You can also add heat, barriers, and other cool things.
There's not much of a "point" to the "game", per se, but the "multi-physics engine" looks to be a pretty good distraction. Check out the video for a better sense of what Aqua Forest is all about.
